We understand the financial strains we all face in today's fast-paced society. We also understand how dental insurance benefits work. The Cariboo Dental Clinic fee schedule is guided by the British Columbia Dental Association.

Private Paying Patients:

Payments for all treatment are expected at the time services are rendered. On multi-visit procedures, (crowns, veneers, dentures, implants etc.), 50 % of the payment is expected when treatment is started and the remainder is expected on the day when the procedure is completed.

Full payment for Intravenous Sedation (for wisdom teeth, or general dentistry) is expected at the time appointment is booked.

Insurance Patients:

We at the Cariboo Dental Clinic understand the value and complexity of insurance benefits, and we will assist you in obtaining your maximum benefit. We will gladly process insurance claims for you and will also estimate your deductible and co-pay. We will also send for pre-authorizations prior to beginning treatments so we all have a good idea as to what your insurance company will pay for.

Co-payment and your deductible (the portion the insurance does not cover) are due at the time services are rendered. For multiple visit procedures (crowns, implants, dentures, veneers), your co-payment, which is usually half the total fee, is expected at the start of the procedure.

Some insurance companies do not accept assignment. They pay you the insured. In this case we will submit a claim for you; however, a full payment for the services rendered is expected at the time of treatment.

We gladly process insurance claims as a courtesy to our patients, but you can help us by doing as much as you can such as providing all the necessary correct information and required signatures in a timely fashion. As well, with the Canadian Privacy policy now in effect, we do not have access to individual insurance limits. It is the insured's responsibility to make us aware of yearly limits.

Even though we process your insurance claims for you, you remain responsible for the entire bill. We reserve the right after 60 days to require that the insurance amount due be paid by you, if your insurance company has not paid the bill. We will gladly assist you in any way we can in allowing you to collect from your insurance company for any monies you will have paid in lieu of your insurance company.

Cosmetic dentistry is not normally covered by insurance companies, thus payment is required at the start of the procedures (whitening, veneers etc.)

Payment Plans:

Although we do not offer any in-office long term payment plans, certain multiple visit procedures can be paid for over the course of treatment. Each case is unique and will be dealt with on an individual basis OAC.

We do carry brochures of an outside finance company that would be able to help with long term payment plans. Please ask our receptionist for these brochures.
